Real-World Detection: A Non-Cooperative Drone, Flagged and Classified in Real Time
Most perimeter security and counter-UAS systems force operators into heavy, proprietary hardware suites — a full rip-and-replace of existing infrastructure just to get basic coverage. Herkeios takes a different approach: a lightweight, software-defined detection pipeline that runs on the camera feeds already in place, with real-time classification at the edge — no hardware overhaul required. The clip below shows a real detection from our C2 dashboard: a non-cooperative track flagged and classified as a camera-confirmed drone within seconds, at 77% confidence. The picture-in-picture camera feed is synced to the same moment as the dashboard alert, showing the actual drone in flight. Position and range weren't resolved on this pass — that refinement is still in progress, not a claim we're making here — but the detection and classification themselves are real, not staged or simulated. This is what real-world validation looks like: not a synthetic test scenario, but an actual detection, with the evidence to prove it.
